Typical topics include sets, mappings, binary operations, equivalence relations, partitions, the integers, induction, the well-ordering property, elementary number theory, cryptography, coding theory, groups (permutation groups, symmetry groups, matrix groups, and cyclic groups),subgroups, cosets, Lagrange’s theorem, normal subgroups, homomorphisms, isomorphisms, Cayley’s theorem, and isomorphism theorems.
